BEFORE STARTING:

  • BALANCED DISTRIBUTION OF THE WEIGHTS INSIDE THE BOAT (PEOPLE AND LUGGAGE).
  • CHECK THAT THE BATHROOM LADDER IS COLLECTED.
  • CHECK THAT THE CONTROL IS IN NEUTRAL BEFORE TO START THE ENGINE.

  • LIFT ANCHOR, AND STORE IT INSIDE THE DRAWER DESTINED FOR SUCH PURPOSE.
  • THE ONLY CHANNEL YOU CAN USE IS THE CALA GALDANA; AND IF IT IS INSIDE THE CHANNEL IT WILL NAVIGATE VERY SLOWLY.
  • DURING NAVIGATION, AN APPROXIMATE DISTANCE OF 100 METERS FROM THE COAST WILL BE MAINTAINED. WE SHOULD NEVER MOVE MORE THAN 1 NAUTICAL MILE FROM THE COAST.
  • THE MAXIMUM SAILING SPEED, UNLESS THE SITUATION REQUIRES IT, WILL BE 7 KNOTS.
  • THEY WILL NAVIGATE AT A DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 50M SEPARATION WITH RESPECT TO THE OTHER VESSELS.
  • IF YOU HAVE TO SAIL WITH WAVES, THE SPEED OF OUR BOAT WILL BE ADEQUATE TO THAT OF THE WAVES, AND THESE MUST BE PASSED BY PUTTING THE BOAT AT A 45 DEGREE INCLINATION WITH RESPECT TO THE WAVE. (LARGE AND FAST BOATS PRODUCE WAVES AND YOU HAVE TO CROSS THEM BY PASSING BEHIND THE BOAT THAT PRODUCES THE WAVE, WE WILL NEVER CROSS IN FRONT OF THEM)
  • WHEN APPROACHING THE BEACH THE SPEED WILL BE REDUCED AND WE WILL ENTER SLOWLY, RESPECTING THE REST OF THE VESSELS.
  • NEVER CROSS THE LINES OF YELLOW BUOYS THAT DELIMIT THE BATHING AREA OF THE BEACHES. ENTERING THE BATHING AREA CARRIES A FINE OF €6,000.

WHEN ANCHORING:

  • LOOK FOR AN AREA OF SAND, WITHIN THE ANCHORING AREA OF THE COVES WHERE THERE ARE NO ROCKS OR POSIDONIA. ANCHORING OVER POSIDONIA IS PUNISHABLE WITH SANCTIONS THAT AMOUNT TO €12,000.
  • KEEP A PRUDENTIAL DISTANCE WITH THE REST OF THE VESSELS, IF ANY, AND WITH THE ROCKS OF THE CLIFFS.
  • CHECK THE DIRECTION IN WHICH THE WIND IS BLOWING AND PUT THE BOW TO WHERE THE WIND IS COMING. IF THERE ARE MORE VESSELS ANCHORED, THEY WILL ALL HAVE THE BOW IN THE SAME DIRECTION, AND WE WILL PUT OURS THE SAME.
  • THROW THE ANCHOR BY THE BOW OF THE BOAT.
  • CALCULATE THE DEPTH OF WATER (BY EYE), AND LEAVE IT BETWEEN 2 AND 3 TIMES DISTANCE FROM CABO DEL ANCHOR. FOR EXAMPLE: IF THERE IS 5 METERS DEEP, WE WILL LEAVE BETWEEN 10M AND 15M OF CAPE.
  • TIE THE LINE TO THE CLEAT (METALLIC PIECE OF THE BOW) MAKING A PAIR OF EIGHTS; KNOTS SHOULD NOT BE MADE WITH THE ANCHOR ROPE.
  • MAKE SURE THE BOAT IS WELL ANCHORED AND DOES NOT MOVE FROM THE SITE; IF NOT, RAISE THE ANCHOR AND REPEAT THE OPERATION AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY.
  • PERMITTED NAVIGATION AREA: FROM THE COVES OF ES TAL•LAIER TO ESCORXADA.
